Statue of Zeus (Zeus’ Avatar)
A giant seated figure, at the sanctuary of Olympia, erected in the Temple of Zeus. Sculptured of ivory and gold panels, it represented the god Zeus sitting on an elaborate cedar wood throne ornamented with ebony, ivory, gold and precious stones.
