Tsukumogami, Chōchin-obake

This paper lantern suddenly sprouts a mouth and single cyclopean eye. It flutters in an unseen breeze, cackling madly and waving a long tongue.

Taken from the Creature Codex

Chōchin-obake are tsukumogami created from discarded, abandoned and forgotten paper-lanterns. Unlike other tsukumogami, a chōchin-obake can form after its lantern has been abandoned for mere weeks or days, resulting in these spirits being rather common as tsukumogami are concerned. They typically do not wish to harm mortals, rather they prefer to give them the fright of their life by suddenly increasing their illumination, casting spooky shadows, or more blunt-force magical approaches. If attacked, however, a chōchin-obake will defend itself with magical bolts of fire. A chōchin-obake weighs as little as 1 pound and measure roughly 1 foot in diameter.
